These individuals are celebrating a massacre that aid workers believe claimed the lives of over thousands of civilians in the Sudan's city of the Darfur city in recent weeks.

An Urban Center Cut Off from the Globe

Following their control of the city under encirclement for nearly two years, from the summer the RSF moved to strengthen its control and prevent access for the surviving residents.

Satellite images reveal that troops started to build a massive sand wall - a raised dirt embankment - surrounding the perimeter of al-Fashir, closing entry points and halting relief supplies.

While the blockade worsened, seventy-eight individuals were slain in an RSF attack on a religious building on 19 September, while the United Nations stated dozens further were murdered in drone and artillery bombardments on a makeshift community in the autumn.

Explicit Video Shows Unarmed People Shot

In the early morning on late October the militia conquered the remaining army strongholds and took control of the main compound in the city, the command center of the Army Division, as the government forces withdrew.

Among the most disturbing footage to emerge and studied depicted the results of a massacre at a educational facility on the western of the community, where dozens lifeless forms were visible scattered throughout the floor.

Militia Commanders Try to Conduct Public Relations

In the days that ensued from the massacre, RSF chief acknowledged that his fighters had carried out "wrongdoings" and said the events would be examined.

Part of the arrested was after a investigation detailing his killings. Meticulously choreographed and modified recording posted on the militia's authorized Telegram channel reveal the individual being led into a prison room at a detention facility on the outskirts of al-Fashir.

At the same time, the militia and associated social media accounts started trying to reframe the account.

Updates showing its fighters providing supplies to residents were shared by various users, while the force's public relations unit published numerous recordings purporting to display the humane management of government captives.

Despite the online campaign being deployed by the paramilitary, their activities in el-Fasher have generated worldwide outrage.
