The House investigative committee has released a collection of approximately 70 photos obtained from the property of former convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the third release from a tranche of over 95,000 images the panel has obtained from Epstein's estate. It contains images of quotes from the novel Lolita inscribed across a female's body, and censored images of women's international passports.

This release occurs hours before the 19th of December due date for the Department of Justice to disclose every records related to its investigation into Epstein.

"These new photos bring up further inquiries about what exactly the Department of Justice has in its holdings," stated the Democratic lead of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Images Disclosed

A number of the photographs released on recently feature Epstein in discussion with professor and activist Noam Chomsky aboard a personal aircraft; Bill Gates positioned next to a individual whose features is redacted; Steve Bannon positioned at a desk across from Epstein, and former Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the latest wealthy, powerful men to be seen in Epstein's estate photographs published by the committee - previously released photos also include US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as director Woody Allen, former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and other figures.

Appearing in the images is not evidence of any illegal activity, and many of the photographed figures have said they were never involved in Epstein's unlawful actions.

In a statement issued alongside the photo disclosure, Lawmakers on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein property holders did not offer context or timings for the pictures.

"Photographs were picked to provide the general populace with clarity into a representative sample of the photos obtained from the estate, and to provide understanding into Epstein's network and his extremely alarming activities," the announcement reads.

The publication also includes several photographs of passages from the Vladimir Nabokov literary work Lolita inscribed in black ink across various areas of a female's body, like her chest, lower extremity, pelvis, and back. Lolita narrates the account of a adolescent who was groomed by a older literature professor.

An example of a excerpt from the novel written across a woman's chest says, "Lolita: the end of the tongue making a journey of three steps down the roof of the mouth to alight, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a collection of photos of women's travel documents and ID papers from nations worldwide, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A further image released is a image of text messages from an unidentified individual who claims they have been sent "some girls" and are asking for "$1000 for each individual".

Photo Publication Occurs Before DOJ Cut-off

The body has a vast number of photos in its custody from the Epstein holdings, which are "at once graphic and ordinary," its press release on recently explained.

The House Oversight Committee first issued a subpoena to the holdings of Epstein, who passed away in a New York jail in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on accusations of sex trafficking, in August.

The photographs and documents the Epstein property provided to the committee are different than what is often referred to "Epstein-related records". Those files are documents in the justice department's possession connected to its own probe into Epstein.

Under the recently passed law, which Donald Trump enacted recently, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to release its files. The full nature of what is contained in the DOJ's records is not publicly known, and it's likely that a significant portion of the material will be significantly redacted, akin to Congressional materials
